Description

The vintage subway cars (1930s to 1970s) travelled much faster than today’s trains.  I was early to my destination for a change.

With each car from a different era, you can track the evolution of passenger comfort (from non-existent to ceiling fans).   Amidst talk of yet another MTA fair increase, I couldn’t help but think of this novelty ride as a psychological tactic by the MTA. . . quietly swaying straphangers into justifying the hike.

For much better shots, see Urban75.  And here for a video walk-through.
